Sony Ericsson P990i: Vibrating Alert

I normally set my phone with sound and vibrating alert together.

Tools > Control Panel > Sounds & alerts > Vibrating alerts > Message: on

P990i Vibrating alerts

And I remember that the vibrating alert will continue to vibrate along with the message tone. It seem that after I upgraded the latest firmware (Update_Service_Setup-2.7.4.8-2), the message tone will continue to buzz but the vibrating alert could only vibrate once.

    I’m still having problem with the text message vibrating alert issue.

    Here’s what I did.

    1. Backup the phone using PC Suite for Smartphones 1.3.11

    2. Format Internal Disk

    3. Update firmware using Update_Service_Setup-2.7.4.8-2.exe

    4. Tested the text message with vibrating alert without any data restore. (Vibrate once)

    5. Tested the text message with vibrating alert after data restore. (Vibrate once)

    I am still unable to get the continuous vibrating alert along with the message tone.
