Moving on to 2008, it seem that lighter and smaller portable computers will be very popular among mobile users. Already Asus Eee PC and the Samsung Q1 Ultra are some of the bestsellers with the online retailers.  I believe that other big names like Dell, Acer, Sony and Fujitsu will soon have their own mobile PC joining in the list.

What I like about the 12.1 inch laptop computers? The weight, thin and light design, funtionality and longer battery life. The light weight and mobility provide the convenience to travel.

My web log showed some rather interesting statistics with the key phrase green laptops.  I did a search on green laptops and found out there are two school of thoughts. Green laptops as in power or energy efficiency computer notebooks and the other green are nonetheless green (the color) laptops.

What are green notebooks? They are built smaller in size, longer lasting batteries, and meet certain specifications that complies with European regulations on lead-free computing, such as the RoHS (Restrictions of Hazardous Substances) and WEEE (Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment), which means using environmental standards to build portable computers.

Trend or no trend, one thing for sure color laptops is going to be another competitive market for manufacturers like Dell, Sony, Gateway or Q2 Designs. Color laptops will become a standard option similar to the traditional silver, white or black. We probably will see more manufacturers coming out with different color notebooks. As for portable computer users like me, we have more options compared with the tradition color laptops.

Weeks ago I posted a series of Dell Inspiron color laptops. The colors are in Expresso Brown, Ruby Red, Flamingo Pink, Jet Black, Spring Green, Alpine White, Sunshine Yellow and Midnight Blue. My preference would be the red and green laptops.

I may not know the actual released of the Sony Vaio Color laptops but I do know that they will be the alternative selections for color laptops.
